PROPERTIES
:
High carbon and high chromium, ledeburitic 12 % Cr alloyed cold work tool
steel, high compressive strength, fairly good dimensional stable during heat
treatment, extremely resistant to wear against abrasive and adhesive,
low distortion, deep hardenability, non-deforming, medium toughness and
good edge-holding properites. Not suitable for nitriding and electrical
discharge machining.
APPLICATIONS
:
Heavy duty and highly stressed all type of blanking, cutting and punching tools up to
4 mm sheet thickness with excell- ent edge holding properties, cold forming tools,
woodworking tools, thread rolling dies, shaping, flanging and beading dies, punches
and dies for cold nut manufacture, deburring tools, tools for spinning, deep drawing
dies, sand blasting nozzles, press tools for the ceramic, sinters, pharmaceutical, brick
and refractory industries, scraping and trimming dies, powder pressing tools, shear
blades for plastic, paper, cardboard and metal, cold extrusion for light alloys and
steel, knurling tools, wire drawing dies, profile rolls, measuring tools, moulds for
plastic materials.
